The Shoeburyness Boom (also known as the Sheerness Boom, Thames Boom or Thames Estuary Boom) refers to two defensive barriers erected across the Thames Estuary in the midth century. The first example was built in during the Second World War to protect shipping from attack by submarines, mines and surface vessels, with the second being built between and to . Estuaries is a comprehensive introductory text emphasizing the physical processes involved in the mixing of sea and river water and the transport of fine sediments within the complex estuarine topographic context. The theoretical and mathematical formulation of these processes are treated at a fairly elementary level, and are used to develop a foundation for more extensive study.

An estuary is a coastal area where fresh water from rivers and streams mixes with salt water from the ocean. Many bays, sounds, and lagoons along coasts are estuaries. Portions of rivers and streams connected to estuaries are also considered part of the estuary. The land area from which fresh water drains into the estuary. Estuary English is claimed to be an English accent associated with the area along the River Thames and its ician John C. The author's prose is strong, drawing the reader in to the story easily and I certainly found myself empathising with the plight of many of the characters; however, as it stands at the moment, The Estuary is a bit of a diamond in the rough, requiring a great degree of polishing/5(34).

Effectively, if you were to say it was a Stephen King-esque novel set in Ireland with zombies you would have a fairly good estimate of what exactly the story is about. Because the definition of "estuary" is fluid, determining which one is the world's largest is an ongoing debate.
